I built a ten string guitar for a gentleman that wanted it to play ten course lute music.  I currently have an order for another ten string for playing high Renaissance lute tab etc.  I am interested in becoming more aware of the ten string guitar world.

As a Senior Project Cost Estimator I need classic guitar music for my  inspiration and relaxation. So, I like to extend my knowledge and creation in the sound of a 10-string guitar. I’ve been playing classical guitar since I was 10 years old and earned a lot of awards back home in the  Philippines.  Playing Classical Guitar and classical music is my life.  My instrument is a “BARTOLEX – FANNED FRET” 10-string guitar made by Neris Gonzales in 2009

I am a professional scientist but have been playing classical guitar for many years,
recently participating in a guitar orchestra and small ensemble as well as playing regularly
in duets and trios. I became interested in the 10-string some time ago as an option for
extending the base register for the ensemble, without going to the large bass guitar
that does not sound too good (in my view). A number of members in our ensemble
compose or arrange music and I hope we can develop the 10-string to good effect.

A Few Sentences about your interest:  I don't have a 10 string guitar yet but am shopping. I am selling one of my 6 string classicals to raise the funds.  I also play 7-string Jazz guitar so am already a little bit familiar with the concept.

My main ax is a Augustine Hernandez eight string (one of 12). I've alsogot a Bartolex 10 string, which is okay, but not great. At least itgives me 10 strings to play with, and the price was right. I play

mostly Celtic tunes.

When saw my first 10 sting guitar in a small shop in Hanover I was fascinated and decided it had to be mine sometime.I bought it some 20 years ago as a second hand instrument. It is a Spanish guitar built by Evelio Dominguez in 1978.I just love the love the broad scale of notes and the long sustain. I like to play it in a classical way and as an accompanying instrument in

church in worship songs.

I have been involved in early music and guitar for over 30 years.  I've done all kinds of music on "authentic" instruments from Medieval music to modern.  The only way to bring it all together has been to compose my own music, at first for lute or guitar.  Now I have awakened to the beauty of a Connor ten-string guitar - perhaps the only instrument I'll need from now on (famous last words, I know).  My passion is for song, however, and have always loved Dowland, Schubert, the Beatles -...  So I have written close to 100 songs now, mostly in "song cycles" of 5-16 songs.  The latest is my first composition for ten-string - The Great Deep, eight songs on life's final journey, available at www.gyremusic.com or http://stores.lulu.com/frankwallace

I'm currently renewing my interest in studying 10 string music. I first fell in love with
the music while studying under Vincenzo Macaluso a long while back. Bought my first 10 string guitar
from Vincent (a Mitsura Tamura 1975) which I still enjoy playing today.
I hope to follow the activities on your web site during this process. Thanks . . .

I need to create music.

repertoire for voice and guitar, and solos of the Romantic period for
ten-string guitar. That means songs and solos by Mertz, Regondi, Paganini,
Berlioz, Weber and others. Also the 20th. century pieces by people like
Katchaturian, Respighi, Virgil Thompson and Terry Riley. In a word - there's
TOO MUCH good stuff, and it's all by really important people that you will
actually find in the music dictionaries! I hope to open a website and make
sheet music available. More as it happens.

I've participated with the

My interest in the multi-string guitar was first sparked when
I heard the Bach Lute Suites recordings of Narciso Yepes.
Since then I have had the honor of meeting
Narciso Yepes at the home of Eli Kassner (Toronto) in 1986. I was most fortunate
to have a very personal discussion with the Maestro about his family, music, astronomy,
recording and of course the multi-string guitar concept. He saw and played my 17 string
during that meeting. A particular goal with the multi-string guitar is to focus my technique,
tuning and fingering decisions on maximizing the incredible timbre this kind of instrument
has to offer. I'm happy to be part of the First Ten String Guitar Society as a way of celebrating
the instrument's development along with those who enjoy playing and listening to this unique
kind of guitar.
